The Idea

The idea to establish The Emeri Foundation was created by a small group of people from different European countries, who during most of their life have been active within development aid work, education and many kinds of creative initiatives and projects.

Through a long life, they know from own experiences – gained from different professions and from working in different countries, both in the Northern and Southern hemisphere, both in rich and poor countries – that what really matters to bring about positive change, is what ordinary people make happen “on the ground” in their daily work and life.

Many people around the globe want to do good and to support good causes, and some dedicate their life to work for better conditions for humanity, often without much recognition of their efforts, and most often without economic or material support for what it takes to create development under difficult circumstances.

We started The Emeri Foundation to support people who work to improve the social, economic and cultural conditions for people where it is most needed, and to support people who work to protect our common home, Planet Earth.

We want to economically support projects and initiatives for good causes, and we want to support groups so they are better equipped to be successful and obtain their objectives.
